Happy Halloween!
Trick or Treat, Smell my feet, Give me something good to eat, if you don’t, I don’t care you got purple underwear. HA! That chant was driving my mom crazy on Halloween with 7 of us getting excited. I always wanted to be a gypsy. Disney Princesses were not even on the horizon back in my day (she says rocking in her chair and smacking her gums). The boys were all GI Joe, hippies, MP’s and girls were Gypsies, movie stars, and hippies. The candy was different too, not much chocolate. In fact it was kinda cool if you had a place that gave out chocolate. We had jolly ranchers, a gum, popcorn balls, Laffy Taffy, Tootsie rolls…that kind of stuff. We also had a lot of fun.
