Walk 10,000 Steps A Day

 Authors note:

When I wrote this in 2013 I had no idea I was in for a long hard time of it. My lung were doing well and I ended up layin gon acouch for a yeaer trying hard to breath. I am now in remission and I have been walking 13000 steps a day most days. A lot has happene I am on a mission to walk 10,000 steps a day and finding many reasons to reach that goal.
I told someone I was logging off the computer as I was going for my walk today. I am on a mission to walk 10,000 steps a day and finding many reason to reach that goal. Anyway, my friend wished me luck and flippantly said, “Pics or it didn’t happen!” Well, I thought what a great idea. I can not tell you how many times I have been walking and I see things that strike my fancy, fire up my imagination and make me wish I brought a camera. This time I brought my camera.  I am not a photographer so no photographer types of questions. I can not answer what aperture or F-stop or nothing like that. I take my bright pink (cause I am a girly girl at times) Sanyo digital camera that I am just now learning how to change settings with for optimal pictures. Now here is proof of walk and a glimpse into how many wondrous things I see in even the most mundane items when I go walking.

This creek, although all cemented in and quite urban looking, is an important habitat for young salmon. As a child, this creek was all natural and I spent many hours catching tadpoles in it.

Among all the dusty old webs on this bush was this web, unoccupied at the time. I could not find the spider for nothing. Perhaps this is for rent…

This is not a leaf on the cement sidewalk. This is an imprint of a leaf that fell on to the wet cement leaving this wonderful relief.

Pretty white flowers growing up against a chain link fence.

In a church parking lot that desperately needs paving grass has grown and died in the cracked asphalt. Mother Nature always finds a way.

Parking. Don’t do it. Could get wet.

Pretty pink flowers outside of a restaurant.

Pretty much how I felt after the long walk.
