Photo Walk River Front
Today I did a quick walk along the Sacramento River. I moved to Rio Vista and it is right on the river, close to it’s mouth in Suisun Bay.
Because of that the river is affected by the tidal changes. This morning it was low tide with no wind and the river was smooth as glass. I remember many many years ago when we owned Jet Skis (the kind you stand up on), we got up early to go riding when the lake or river or where ever we were was unaffected by wind or other boats creating choppy conditions. Today the river would have been perfect. It was quite pretty.
I met a lady friend on my little walk down Rio Vista’s River Walk . She was adorable, a little shy and in heat. Unfortunately, when she figured out that I was not the man for her, seeing as I am a human and a female, she went away to look for the man of her dreams. She is one of the many feral cats that hang out by an old warehouse. Someone is feeding them and providing some shelter for them. As amorous as this little girl was, they are going to have a few more that need feeding in the near future.
I didn’t stay long at the river, even though that is my church. I do go there to connect to to my Higher Power and have been known to linger a while on a bench, just looking at the river. Today, however, was a short sermon. On every single post, there was at least a dozen baby spiders with their rear end ups, hoping to catch a breeze. Even thought there was no wind, there was a slight breeze now and then. It was enough to send some of the spiderlings floating through the air and there was enough that I kept getting in the way. It totally gave me the heebejeebies , having to pull off the webbing and baby spiders. I still got the icks.
