Joke With The Pope Contest

The Pontifical Mission Societies in the United States, in order to gain publicity for  Pope Francis’ US visit last month had a contest. It was the Joke with the Pope contest. The contest netted 4,000 submissions from people, including actress and comedian Ellie Kemper, weather forecaster Al Roker, and late-night TV host Conan O’Brien. Comedian Bill Murray was the honorary adviser. So who won it? A Rabbi. Rabbi Bob Alper, self described  “world’s only practicing clergyman doing stand-up comedy … intentionally.”  filmed his joke.” filmed his joke with his phone. The joke?

“My wife and I have been married for over 46 years. Our lives are totally in sync. For example, the same time I got a hearing aid, she stopped mumbling.”

And what was the prize? The title of Honorary Comedic Adviser to the Pope.





Man Picks Up Auto Theft Arrest Papers In A Stolen Car

Carnell Eugene Butler of St. Petersburg , Fla, was doign the right thing, He had gone to pick up papers in regards to an auto theft he was involved. The problem was, he went in another stolen car to do so.  Officers found Butlers documents for a June Auto Theft arrest inside a stolen Infiniti. Detectives called Butler, who arranged to come pick them up. When he got there, they arrested butler. During his search, the officers found keys to a Hyundai Sonata in his pocket.  It was a block away, but they found  the car. It, too had, been reported stolen. Butler is being held without bail.

Bunny Ranch Helps College Students

When you visit the Bunny Ranch Brothel, one of the legal brotherls in the state of Nevada, and your, er, um, friend says she is just doing this to pay for college, she is probably telling the truth. Dennis Hof, the owner of the Bunny Ranch said that his new program will match its wrkers’ student loan payments up the amount they make as a prostitute.

“I had a University of Michigan cheerleader named Krissy Summers come to The Bunny Ranch a few years ago after she was $40,000 in debt with student loans,” he said. “She paid them all off in two months. She even ended up liking the business and staying long enough to fund her graduate studies.”

Summers says  with her education debt paid off she is completing her doctoral degree and working alongside Nevada brothel lobbyist George Flynt “to assist in promoting the profession that made me so successful in accomplishing my goals.”
