The World’s First Swiss Army Knife Was Roman

Ok actually the worlds first Swiss army knife had nothing to do with the Swiss. It was those crazy Romans. The knife, circa 200 ad, was made of silver  but had an iron knife. The little  3 x 6  utensil had a spoon , little toothpick, fork, spike and spatula. It is believe the spike would dig out snail meat (yuk) and the spatula was use to get sauces out of narrow bottles. It must have been a pretty wealthy Roman to have such a thing! Don’t feel bad for the Swiss though, they did catch up 1800 years later….
