News You May Have Missed August 22 – August 28
Jack Zoltak claimsit is “something he needs to do” and his neighbors “should thank him becuase they wont get robbed” What is it? It is what he calls art. Every night, as soon as it gets darks, lights shine on Jack’s North Haverford Avenue house in Margate City , New Jersey. There are some other colors, but the predominate color is blue. The neighbors are complaining about the lights shining in their windows at night, the amounts of people coming inot the neighbor to see the house and claim the whole thing is a nusiance and definetly not art. The city says unfortunatly there are no laws or ordinances that address lighting your house up every night. So for now, the Blue House remains.
Destiney holds the key to a mystery. Who defaced the side of the Black Cliffs east of Boise back in May of this year. The Ada County Sheriff’s says they have interviewed over a dozen Destinies, but to this date still have no leads to who may have been behind this dastardly deed. Well dont laugh. This is a serious crime and is punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of $1,000. The Sheriff says they may be able to get more leads once school starts up again. I think maybe they ought to hang out at lunch with the popular kids. Probably crack the case then.
TEACHER LATE 111 TIMES, KEEPS JOB
I do not know about your job, but my job, if I was late111 times over two years, well I would not have made it that far. I would have already been fired for being late. The Roosevelt Elementary School found this out the hard way. An arbitrator rejected an attempt by the School to fire 15-year veteran Arnold Anderson from his $90,000-a-year job, saying he was entitled to progressive discipline. The arbitrator also said “micro-quibbles of a few unpersuasive explanations, with a macro-default position that even when he is late he nevertheless delivers a superb educational experience to his grateful students,” Whatever. What the teacher said was that even though he was late a lot, he was a really good teacher and gave quality education, so he shouldn’t be fired. Well he was right, but not becuase he is a good teacher but becuase the School did not document any disciplnary actions. Lucky dude.
2 MEN JUMP IN CANAL AT VENETIAN IN LAS VEGAS
Althought no one knows why they did it, two men jumped into the canal along Las Vegas Boulevard. They were seen climbing the fence, and the same security cameras saw them jump. Apparently neither could swim and had to be resuced. Both men are hopsitilized in critical condition. As to to the motive, I would put forth the guess that both were exuberant with drink and winnings. Also it is apparent that what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas.
