Name Yourself Day
Did your parents saddle you with a name you hate.? Perhaps it is awkward, say like, Harry Liver. Do you just not relate to your name? Does it not speak to who you really are? Well, you are in luck! Today is Name yourself day. A day set aside to go ahead and change your name, if only for the day. The more adventurous among us, will go through the process and change their name permanently. That, however, is a quite process involving lawyers and judges and such. So just for fun, today you can change your name.
Personally, if I was to change my name, I would call myself Anastasia because I like the name and it means “she who will rise again”. It befits me. How about yourself? What would you call yourself? How about one of the following names?
Ella (F) beautiful fairy
Nevaeh (F) the word Heaven spelled backwards
Makayla (F) modern spelling of the word Michaela feminine version of Michael
Abrielle(F)God gives strength.
Mason (M) worker in stone
Cody (M)cushion or gives strength
Colin (M) of a triumphant people
Of course there are always unusual names such as:
Urhines Kendall Icy Eight Special K. Yes, that’s right: a baby named after the illicit drug ketamine. Oh, and that’s pronounced “Your Highness,” by the way.
Brfxxccxxmnpcccclllmmnprxvclmnckssqlbb11116 (Pronounced “albin”) Elisabeth Hallin and Lasse Diding wanted to protest the naming law of Sweden, which states that the court can disapprove of names that “for some obvious reason are not suitable as a first name.”
Happy Bubbles. I went to school with this girl. Her sister was named Smiles
So go ahead, What ya waiting for? Change your name. Have fun with it. Be the real you or the you you want to be.
And so with all things: names were vital and important.
